Requirements
- BS degree in a technical field – for example Chemistry, or Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Experience in industrial or municipal water treatment, ideally including ultrapure water production
- 3+ years of direct people management experience
- Strong background in water purification technologies, including reverse osmosis, deionization, UV, etc.
- Knowledgeable of water chemistry and microbiology
- Experience with process control systems and data analysis tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency with Google and/or Microsoft Office suite and relevant industry-specific software
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of ultrapure water production systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for water purification processes
- Monitor water quality parameters and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Manage a team of operators, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations
- Review system performance and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to water quality, equipment malfunction, or process deviations
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their ultrapure water needs and adjust production accordingly
- Manage budgets related to water purification systems, including equipment purchases and maintenance costs
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations
- Prepare and present regular reports on system performance, water quality metrics, and improvement initiatives
- Lead projects for system upgrades or expansions as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as Certified Water Technologist (CWT) or similar
- Experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or other high-tech manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with project management and capital equipment installations
