Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate from an accredited program in ultrasound technology
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
- BCLS from AHA
- Demonstrated experience in patient care with training in Ultrasound
- If working in the Diagnostic Imaging Center, must have at least 3 years of direct ultrasound experience post training in General Sonography (ie Abdominal, Pelvic, Small Part) and Doppler interrogation (ie upper abdomen, female and male reproductive system) experience
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations
- Warmly greet and welcome patients/visitors/staff
- Assist in performing exams when necessary
- Assess patient condition
- Select proper transducer and adjust equipment according to the needs required for proper diagnostic testing
- Ensure adherence to safety standards
- Ensure the continued effective operation and patient care services in key departments, including Inpatient, Emergency Department, and Portables
