Requirements
- Completed an accredited cardiothoracic surgical training program
- Must be eligible for a South Carolina Medical License
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in cardiac transplantation and mechanical circulatory support
- Perform heart transplants including complex reoperative cases
- Implant acute and durable mechanical circulatory support devices
- Participate in the pre-operative evaluation process including weekly transplant selection committee meetings
- Provide operative and postoperative care
