Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
- Board-certification or residency-trained in Neurology
- Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Virginia and/or Maryland
- The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members and pet families
- A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics
- Clinical experience in emergency medicine or general practice, or completion of a rotating or specialty internship
- Professional demeanor and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude
- Support for new graduates who have commitment to continued professional development and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Utilize your unique expertise to diagnose and develop treatment plans for patients with neurological diseases or disorders
- Collaborate with the entire hospital team and take an active role in shaping the neurology department and practice
- Engage in continual collaboration with the ER and other departments to provide and receive support
- Handle a blend of scheduled appointments (including imaging, procedures, and/or surgeries) and consults from other departments, including the ER.
