Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; JD preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant global compliance experience gained at a law firm, consulting firm, or U.S.-based corporate in-house legal or ethics and compliance department, managing and advising on global compliance and ethics risks and regulations.
  • Strong communication skills involving different cultures and levels of an organization.
  • Ability to build and foster strong business relationships and provide seamless collaboration across a matrix environment.
  • Proven talent leadership success.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of leadership in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Domestic and international travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and implement effective compliance strategies, policies and procedures.
  • Manage, coordinate, and conduct periodic and annual reviews and risk assessments of the company’s compliance policies and procedures.
  • Identify potential areas of risk and develop controls to mitigate those risks.
  • Lead projects relating to the enhancement of compliance policies and procedures, internal controls, and systems.
  • Oversee training on a broad range of compliance-related topics for new and existing personnel.
  • Monitor compliance with nVent’s policies and procedures.
  • Manage and conduct internal investigations.
  • Keep abreast of changes in applicable regulations and implement appropriate changes to compliance practices and policies.
  • Present to the Executive Leadership Team and other senior leaders and the Board of Directors.
  • Support Sustainability/ESG program, ensuring alignment with regulations, industry standards and company goals.
  • Manage a team of compliance professionals, support the individuals’ professional development, and mentor staff.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Broad knowledge of global manufacturing businesses is preferred.
  • Experience with global anti-bribery, modern slavery, trade, data privacy and global import/export compliance laws and regulations.
