Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required
  • 6+ years of experience in project management, investor relations, fundraising or product management/development within private real estate
  • Deep understanding of private funds, fundraising processes, and investor expectations
  • Strong leadership skills and a demonstrated track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong, team-based attitude
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfort interacting with senior client executives and LPs
  • Ability to manage a deal team, providing instruction as well as setting timelines, objectives, and standards
  • Strong Excel modeling skills
  • FINRA Series 79 (or 7) and Series 63

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end project management of fundraises and ensure seamless execution of initiatives that support capital formation and fund marketing efforts for clients
  • Serve as the primary / day-to-day contact for fund managers and point of coordination for the internal distribution team
  • Oversee development of clients’ capital raising materials (PPMs, DDQs and investor presentations)
  • Serve as a key resource for internal teams and clients on fund structures, fund terms, investment strategies and industry trends
  • Opine on fundraising strategy at the client level
  • Participate in meetings with potential new managers, leading client due diligence and preparing engagement proposals
  • Analyze fund performance and market data to evaluate potential fundraising opportunities and positioning of current mandates
  • Lead, mentor, and develop junior bankers assigned to each fundraise
  • Provide insights on investor engagement, roadshows and meetings
  • Evaluate current project management best practices and suggest / introduce new ones across all mandates
  • Track fundraising commitments and pipeline
