Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in one or more of the following: power generation operations, maintenance repair and/or engineering.
- High level of expertise in MS Office suite.
- Bachelor of Science in an accredited Electrical Engineering program or 10 years of experience.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, creative problem solving and team building.
Responsibilities
- Support generator inspection and testing during planned and unplanned outages.
- Analyze generator or equipment trends, historical data, and field data to develop and implement measurable programs to obtain the lowest life cycle cost on plant equipment.
- Maintain Vistra’s asset preservation program which supports long-range planning for maintenance and reliability.
- Recognize, document, and prevent potential generator failure modes.
- Apply engineering theory, practices, and principles to determine root cause of generator and equipment failures and to perform performance evaluations.
- Coordinate with in-house engineering, equipment specialists and operation’s site staff to ensure consistent, practical, and effective engineering solutions.
- Identify and qualify outside resources (repair, engineering, maintenance, construction) generator maintenance or support needs.
- Represent Engineering Services and on corporate, technical, and user group committees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills.
