Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on financial systems or data management
  • 5+ years of experience with financial data, financial reporting processes, standards, and/or compliance requirements (e.g., GAAP, IFRS)
  • 5+ years experience with Data Analytics

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, and IT teams to gather and document business requirements related to financial reporting and data repository needs
  • Analyze current financial data systems, processes, and reporting needs to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Work closely with data architects, database administrators, and software developers to design a scalable and efficient data repository that meets financial reporting and compliance requirements
  • Assist in mapping business requirements to data sources, ensuring accurate data flow, and supporting data validation processes to ensure high-quality financial data
  • Lead testing efforts, including developing test cases and scripts, performing data validation, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data repository
  • Develop clear and concise documentation for system designs, requirements, processes, and user manuals to support ongoing use and maintenance
  • Provide training and support to end-users, assisting them in understanding the capabilities of the data repository and how to leverage it for financial reporting purposes
  • Proactively suggest improvements to the data repository based on feedback from stakeholders and end-users, as well as staying updated on industry best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • SME knowledge on buy-side asset management business is a plus
  • Proficiency in data analysis, data mapping, and report development
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), excel and financial reporting platforms
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
