Requirements
- BA/BS Degree (4-year) (Advanced Degree Preferred) Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) preferred but not required.
- 6-8 years 7+ years in data and analytics leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior role (e.g., VP, Director) overseeing BI, web analytics, and advanced analytics teams.
- Proven track record of building and motivating high-performing teams while aligning them with business goals.
- Deep understanding of how analytics drives product decisions, customer experience, and revenue in a fast-paced, consumer-facing environment.
- Exceptional ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable insights for executive and cross-functional audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills to bridge technical analytics with business needs, collaborating effectively with C-suite leaders and diverse teams.
- Proficiency with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI), web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), and advanced analytics techniques. Experience with SQL is essential; familiarity with Python or R is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute data integration and analytics strategies that align with AXS’s product vision and business objectives, positioning data as a key driver of growth and innovation.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of BI analysts, web analytics specialists, and advanced analytics experts, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and measurable impact.
- Oversee the development of scalable and intuitive dashboards, reports, and self-service BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) to empower product, marketing, sales, and operations teams with real-time insights.
- Drive the measurement and optimization of customer journeys across AXS.com, native apps, and SDKs, leveraging tools like Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics to improve conversion rates, engagement, and retention.
- Manage the development and delivery of high-quality batch and real-time data feeds to internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and usability.
- Lead the application of predictive modeling, machine learning, and customer segmentation to enhance personalization, refine pricing strategies, and forecast demand.
- Lead the integration and unification of global data sets, standardizing data structures and ensuring consistency across international markets to drive strategic decision-making.
- Work with marketing to decode customer behavior and channel attribution, with finance to sharpen revenue insights, with operations to streamline event execution, and with sales to optimize pricing and on-sale strategies—all through data-driven approaches.
- Collaborate with data engineering and data science to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility. Oversee and ensure compliance of data with security and privacy standards, in accordance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOC 2) and Company policies, maintaining customer trust.
- Define, monitor, and refine KPIs that tie analytics efforts to business outcomes, such as ticket sales growth, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

- Background in e-commerce, ticketing, or consumer tech is a strong plus.
