Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or management consulting, with a proven track record of working with senior leadership teams in high-growth environments
- Proven experience as either VP Level Business Operations leader, General Manager, or Chief of Staff at a high growth innovative company (Tech or Life Science) or a division of a large cap company
- Technical acumen and passion for learning, understanding, and applying technical concepts, such as BillionToOne’s core QCT technology and its differentiation, digital twins for personalized medicine, and agentic AI
- Track record of building and leading high-performing organizations
- Experience managing or influencing a variety of stakeholders within a hypergrowth division/organization (at least 50% YoY revenue growth)
- Deep experience leading company-wide OKR process
- Demonstrated success in working across core business functions
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and present it in an easily digestible format
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing ambiguity and driving results with limited resources
- Servant leader mindset with a passion for leading highly collaborative high-performing teams with integrity and discretion
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CEO on critical business decisions, organizational design, and long-term strategy
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and senior leadership to define and implement the company’s strategic roadmaps, with a focus on the execution of high-impact initiatives.
- Build and lead the Business Operations organization, with opportunity to expand scope to additional operational functions over time
- Partner with other executive leadership team members to track progress on quarterly and annual objectives and key results (OKRs), ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Provide detailed analysis and insights to support executive decision-making, enabling informed and timely actions.
- Drive organizational transformation initiatives across culture, operations, and strategy
- Drive improvements in operational efficiency by identifying and addressing bottlenecks, streamlining processes, and fostering a high-performance work culture.
- Own internal communication strategies to ensure alignment across teams on key priorities and goals.
- Lead the preparation and coordination of important meetings (e.g., Board meetings, Executive Leadership Team meetings), ensuring clarity of purpose, setting agendas, and tracking follow-up actions.
- Foster high-performing company culture and support talent acquisition efforts for senior leadership roles and key hires.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, offering insights and recommendations on key business decisions.
- Work closely with the CEO’s ensuring that their time is aligned with the company’s strategic priorities.
- Help CEO and senior leadership focus on the highest-priority initiatives by managing day-to-day operational needs and addressing ad-hoc challenges that arise.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the life sciences or diagnostics industries is highly preferred
- Experience in management consulting is preferred
- Experience supporting an IPO is a plus
- An MBA is preferred
