Requirements
- A minimum of twelve years of demonstrated success and progressive experience in product management from a best-in-class branded goods environment.
- Demonstrated experience working successfully with big box retailers and other large customers.
- Strong academic background supported by a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field. Master’s in Business Administration is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets and leading a P&L. Solid understanding of financial metrics and how they relate to product performance and business success, particularly in the context of residential construction tools.
- A minimum of five years of experience managing teams, evidenced by strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire others, through both direct leadership and influence.
- Demonstrated experience developing the process, tools and technologies that support end-user insights.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels and contributing constructively to strategic discussions.
- Compelling storyteller who can share complex ideas clearly and persuasively, tailoring messages to resonate with the end users.
- Ability to approach the market with humility and curiosity to dig deep and anticipate issues/opportunities.
- Domestic/International travel required (25%). Role is Hybrid with 3 days per week in office.
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the product life cycle, from ideation to launch and beyond, with a focus on carpentry and exterior applications.
- Develop and communicate a compelling product vision and strategy that aligns with DEWALT’s goals and addresses the specific needs of carpentry and exterior end-users through woodworking, finishing and nailing product portfolios.
- Maintain laser focus on DEWALT’s competitive position for industry trends, emerging technologies and competitor products, particularly those impacting residential construction and carpentry.
- Provide strategic leadership to balance short-term objectives with long-term growth and innovation, ensuring the product portfolio remains competitive and relevant.
- Cultivate a culture of collaborative yet decisive P&L leadership, including cross-functional problem-solving and conflict resolution, to guide the product management team effectively.
- Partner closely with engineering, brand marketing, category management, sales, and customer support to ensure seamless product development, launch processes and point of sale execution.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team dedicated to excellence in new product development and amplifiers within current product portfolio offerings.
- Manage the DEWALT Residential Construction portfolio budget, forecast revenue and assess the financial impact of product decisions to ensure profitability and growth.
Preferred Qualifications
