Requirements
- Post-secondary education in a business or related discipline
- 10+ years of financial services industry experience in a sales or business development capacity essential
- Solid understanding of the financial markets, investment process, and securities industry
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding of technology from social media, spreadsheets, CRMs to the use of video conferencing technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products – PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
Responsibilities
- Develop a thorough understanding of investment, business development and service needs of approximately 500 selected Investment Advisors by maintaining regular contact with them in one-on-one meetings and branch presentations, via telephone, mail, e-mail, and video calls
- Responsible for identifying opportunities to sell and promote Franklin Templeton Investment products at the broker/dealer firm level within a sales territory and communicate those opportunities to the Senior Vice President
- Coordinate other team members’, Hybrid Wholesaler and Sales Associate within the defined sales territory to ensure that the focus list of Investment Advisors in the territory is receiving appropriate coverage through execution of the Territory Plan, regular team meetings to review progress and review of the Advisor database
Preferred Qualifications
- Canadian Securities Course or other industry designations (CFP, CLU, FCSI, CIM, CFA) highly desired
