Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be proficient with MS Office or Google apps
- 3 – 5 years of related work experience
- Willingness to travel and learn from several styles of treatment facilities while training across the United States
Responsibilities
- Learn to operate and control electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate flow of water into treatment facilities
- Learn to collect and test water samples to determine concentration levels and impurities
- Learn to perform all scheduled maintenance, service, and new installations of water treatment equipment
- Learn to be responsible for accurate record keeping of client data such as residual content of chemicals, water turbidity, and water pressure
- Comply with all client safety parameters
- Provide regular communication with fellow operators and management of any non-routine operating parameters that occur
- May be responsible for assisting with compiling data for the Environmental Protection Agency
- Coordinate with other operators throughout the customers plant in order to maintain the plants water treatment equipment
- Learn to coordinate with Veolia’s purchasing department to order wastewater treatment supplies, such as equipment and chemicals, in order to maintain the client’s wastewater treatment equipment
- Learn to troubleshoot problems within client’s wastewater treatment equipment and coordinate repairs as necessary
- On an individual basis, study for either the physical/chemical or biological wastewater certification exam
