Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 (or 63/65) required
- 5+ years of experience as a field-based or phone-based Financial Advisor or Consultant
- 3+ years of Training experience, both facilitation and instructional/content design
- Detailed knowledge of institutional DC plan features, benefits, and distribution options sufficient to position effective participant outcomes including retention, consolidation, and rollover
- Advanced knowledge of positioning managed accounts (UMA) and financial planning tools
- Experience and knowledge with self-directed investment platforms and offerings.
- Experience and knowledge with robo and auto-rebalancing investment products.
- Experience leading large, complex projects through all phases.
- Strong meeting facilitation skills.
- Knowledge of change management processes and industry best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Effective presentation and communications style
Responsibilities
- Facilitate world-class training programs that prepare new and experienced financial professionals to serve clients through holistic wealth management relationships.
- Design and maintain engaging, modern content that leverages multiple modalities (live sessions, virtual, eLearning, job aids) focused on both financial education and broader advisory skills.
- Function as a coach and mentor to help advisors develop the mindset and behaviors that build trust and long-term relationships with clients.
- Proactively assess, identify, and remediate areas of opportunity to increase speed to proficiency for both new and in-role associates.
- Proactively work with business partners (Wealth Management as well as across Voya) to understand requirements and perform project scoping activities in a collaborative manner.
- Proactively engage in project planning activities, including but not limited to: Project scope definition, craft and maintain a consolidated timeline/schedule of major milestones and associated dates for projects.
- Identify and communicate project dependencies and impacts.
- Put mechanisms in place to ensure ongoing control of the project/direction.
- Definition of success criteria to promote alignment and actively manage to expected project outcomes.
- Contribute to multi-functional teams addressing business needs related to Learning and Development.
- Partners with Wealth Management subject matter experts to evaluate service, retention, and sales processes to improve performance by identifying gaps and share best practices.
- Collaborate with business partners to create new and update existing training solutions and appropriate evaluations of skills and knowledge transfer.
