Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in final semester of OR recently completed a Mechatronics or related program.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of electrical safety, schematics, and industrial automation.
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily maintenance tasks, including fixing robots, DFS, SPR sealer issues, and loading spools on rivet applications.
  • Work with tooling machines such as grinders, mills, and lathes.
  • Learn and perform basic Kawasaki Robot repair and mechatronics troubleshooting.
  • Apply electrical and general safety principles in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other safety standards.
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and ensure a zero-energy state before maintenance activities.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools to assemble, inspect, and maintain automated welding systems.
  • Interpret mechanical, electrical, and control schematics for troubleshooting and repair.
  • Set up, program, and operate robotic and automated machinery.
  • Understand and apply basic PLC programming, robotic programming, and HMI troubleshooting.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic systems in welding automation.
  • Conduct electrical troubleshooting and analysis for industrial circuits.
  • Demonstrate proper welding principles, including MIG and Spot-welding defect identification and troubleshooting.
  • Learn and apply welding automation techniques, including robotic welding program creation and tool center point setup.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in maintenance, robotics, or welding automation.
  • Familiarity with PLC programming and industrial automation controls.
  • Experience with pneumatic systems and troubleshooting.
