Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 8-10 years of recent health & welfare benefit management experience
- Must have strong experience working with third-party outsourced health & welfare benefit administrators
- Must have experience managing employee and retiree medical plans
- In-depth knowledge of policies, processes and procedures pertaining to healthcare, life insurance and disability programs, COBRA, ACA requirements, other Federal and State requirements, and other significant health & welfare benefit arrangements
- Experience working in a public multi-national, multi-division corporation
- Experience managing benefit-related merger and acquisition activities
- Necessary people skills to engage and influence major stakeholders and internal clients
- Wide experience of managing cross-functional projects
- Ability to think and plan and manage activity in a structured manner, and communicate effectively
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- High level proficiency in Excel, Power Point, and Word
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage key benefit plans including medical, dental, vision life, disability and various other benefit plans and policies
- Serve as the subject matter expert on the plans’ provisions and operations, ensuring efficient administration in accordance with legal requirements
- Manage plan documents and provider contracts
- Monitor plan cost, design and participation
- Oversee compliance matters
- Drive communication/education strategy of the health & welfare plans
- Coach teammates on health & welfare plan administration
- Lead projects in the U.S. health & welfare space
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Post graduate qualifications in subject area
- Workday experience
- Additional experience in other benefit management areas such as defined contribution plans
- CEBS
