Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 8-10 years of recent health & welfare benefit management experience
  • Must have strong experience working with third-party outsourced health & welfare benefit administrators
  • Must have experience managing employee and retiree medical plans
  • In-depth knowledge of policies, processes and procedures pertaining to healthcare, life insurance and disability programs, COBRA, ACA requirements, other Federal and State requirements, and other significant health & welfare benefit arrangements
  • Experience working in a public multi-national, multi-division corporation
  • Experience managing benefit-related merger and acquisition activities
  • Necessary people skills to engage and influence major stakeholders and internal clients
  • Wide experience of managing cross-functional projects
  • Ability to think and plan and manage activity in a structured manner, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • High level proficiency in Excel, Power Point, and Word

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage key benefit plans including medical, dental, vision life, disability and various other benefit plans and policies
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on the plans’ provisions and operations, ensuring efficient administration in accordance with legal requirements
  • Manage plan documents and provider contracts
  • Monitor plan cost, design and participation
  • Oversee compliance matters
  • Drive communication/education strategy of the health & welfare plans
  • Coach teammates on health & welfare plan administration
  • Lead projects in the U.S. health & welfare space

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Post graduate qualifications in subject area
  • Workday experience
  • Additional experience in other benefit management areas such as defined contribution plans
  • CEBS
