Requirements
- Expertise in 802.11 Wi-Fi standards, RF fundamentals, and wireless security protocols
- Experience with Wi-Fi routers, extenders, mesh solutions, and band steering
- Skilled in roaming protocols (802.11 KVR) and AP/Extender configuration
- Proficiency in Python, shell scripting, and Wi-Fi test tools like Veri Wave, IXIA Chariot, Alethea, and Wireshark
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, and RADIUS networking protocols
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans for Wi-Fi routers, extenders, and mesh networking solutions
- Perform Wi-Fi range, throughput, reliability, and roaming performance tests using protocols like 802.11k and 802.11v
- Analyze Wi-Fi extenders for coverage, latency, and backhaul optimization
- Utilize tools like Wireshark and iperf for network performance analysis
- Stay updated with Wi-Fi6/6E/7 advancements and integrate best practices into test strategies
