Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Exceptions to educational requirements must comply with state law and regulations
- 21 years of age or older
- Meet all agency requirements for pre-employment as required by BrightSpring/StepStone and/or State regulations
- Maintain state regulatory certifications, as required by state/program requirements
- Medication Administration as required by state/program requirements
- Ability to work in a group home, home-like settings
- Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company
- Ability to use a computer utilizing company documentation systems
- Capable of working responsibly with highly confidential information
- Relentless pursuit of helping clients live their best lives
Responsibilities
- Function always as a caring, therapeutic team member
- Youth Supervision: Milieu supervision of youth
- Acts as a positive role model to youths and other Youth Care Workers
- Treatment Participation: Participate in treatment team and programmatic team meetings
- Provide Behavioral Management: Including praise, natural consequences, education, de-escalation within the Trauma Informed Care lens
- Facility: Maintain cleanliness, organization, and functioning of home areas, office, and equipment
- Documentation: Complete all necessary daily, weekly, and monthly documentation
- Medication Administration: Administer medication, complete necessary documentation, and provide adequate education to clients as required for medication management
- Meetings & Training: Attend and provide input to team meetings, and monthly trainings
- Trauma Informed Care: Engage and model in the teaching of TIC model
